Nic’s Choice Breaks Maiden At Pakenham

Nic’s Choice proved too strong at Pakenham last Thursday night, breaking his maiden status at his sixth start in Heat 12 of the Sportsbet Future Star Series over 1400 metres.

Ridden by Dan Stackhouse, the 3-year-old Nicconi gelding had a lovely run sitting midfield in transit, before unleashing a strong turn-of-foot down the outside, hitting the front in the final 50 metres to win by three-quarters of a length.

It was a well-deserved win for Nic’s Choice, who had been knocking on the door with some eye-catching runs this preparation, and we look forward to seeing him return even more furnished next prep after a worthy break.
